Calm Down This is Only the End Nominated for Best Musical or Variety Program at the 2024 Rosie Awards

AMPIA Rosie Awards 2024

I’m thrilled to announce that Calm Down This is Only the End: The Unfortunates Farewell Story has been nominated for Best Musical or Variety Program or Series at the 2024 Rosie Awards, also known as the Alberta Film and Television Awards. This nomination is incredibly meaningful to me, as it marks the culmination of a very special journey with The Unfortunates.

The Rosie Awards, presented by AMPIA (Alberta Media Production Industries Association), celebrate the outstanding achievements in Alberta's film, television, and media industries. To be recognized among such a talented group of creators is truly an honor.

Working on this documentary was a labor of love. Capturing the final show and last journey of The Unfortunates was an emotional and rewarding experience. It was more than just documenting a band; it was about preserving the legacy of Tanner and the entire group as they said their farewell. This nomination is not just a recognition of the film, but also a tribute to the incredible story of The Unfortunates and the impact they’ve had on their fans and the music community.

Thank you to AMPIA and the Rosie Awards for this incredible honor. I’m excited to celebrate this moment with everyone who was part of the journey and to share in the recognition of The Unfortunates’ remarkable story.

Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you all for your continued support!
