Calm Down This is Only the End: The Unfortunates Farewell Story Wins Best Musical at the Rosie Awards

What an incredible night at the Alberta Film and Television Awards, celebrating the immense talent within our province! It was a privilege to be surrounded by so many amazing artists, filmmakers, and creatives who continue to elevate Alberta’s film and television industry to new heights.

I’m beyond thrilled to announce that our documentary, Calm Down This is Only the End: The Unfortunates Farewell Story, took home the award for Best Musical or Variety Program or Series! This project has been a labor of love from day one, and I’m so excited for the band to end their journey on such a high note with this award win.

The documentary was a true collaboration, born out of the passion of both myself and Tanner, heavily influenced by The Last Waltz. We had an incredible team behind us, and I can’t say enough about the energy and creativity the band brought to filming. It was an honor to capture their last performance, their story, and their legacy.

Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way—this award is a testament to the power of collaboration, passion, and the vibrant music scene we have in Alberta. I’m excited for what’s next and grateful for the recognition of this documentary.

Here’s to celebrating the talent in this province and continuing to tell the stories that matter!
